IT Network / Infrastructure Engineer

 

 

What would I be doing?

  • Provide remote and telephone support for client networks and applications.
  • Provide on-site support for client networks and applications.
  • Mainly covering central Scotland from office base in Glasgow city centre.
  • Partake in the company’s on-call support rota to provide ‘out of hours’ support in the maintenance of critical client systems.
  • An element of out of hours work will be required with options for overtime work on specific projects to be completed out of hours.
  • 2nd/ 3rd line support and projects for Enlinea customers.
  • Assist on improving internal technical processes and internal systems.
  • Based from Glasgow city centre. Depending on location and experience WFH may be an option.

 

What does it take to get the role?

  • Must be willing to invest into growing their role and the company itself.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, manage own workload and react quickly to urgent issues. This is essential.
  • Experience in identifying and improving gaps in procedures.
  • Experience in project planning and managing small teams in the completion of a project.
  • Experience with helpdesk ticketing and some form of RMM essential.
  • Strong organisational, communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to own a problem.
  • Relevant IT qualifications. Microsoft or Fortinet certification is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies. A genuine interest in emerging technologies is required.
  • Full UK driving license preferable.

What technical skills do I need?

  • Experience of complex networks an advantage and strong understanding of networks (firewalls, VPN, TCP/IP, VLANs) is essential.
  • Experience of PC and server hardware troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of virtualisation technologies – VMware/Hyper-V.
  • Microsoft Windows Server technologies and Active Directory. Group policy and PowerShell.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office 365 experience.
  • Experience of Intune an advantage.
  • Experience of cloud services in general. Azure or AWS experience an advantage.
  • Experience with VoIP and telephony an advantage.
  • Experience of RMM technologies a requirement.
  • Solid cyber security awareness.

Sales Administrator

 

We currently have a vacancy for a Sales Administrator. The role is based at an established and leading IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) based in Central Scotland. The successful candidate does not require to have worked previously at a Managed Services Provider or within the IT sector, but it would be advantageous.

 

We are looking for someone who is willing to invest time and energy into making the role their own and becoming an important part of a growing business.

 

The role will primarily be within our Sales team but over time will offer admin support to our ServiceDesk, Project and HR teams.

We have a physical office in Glasgow City Centre but have embraced working from home so, although preferable that we have someone who can offer some days in the office per month, it is not essential.

 

What would I be doing?

 

Sales Support:

  • Handling and pricing sales enquiries using CRM.
  • Liaising with Sales & Engineering Team.
  • Offering excellent levels of customer service, achieving customers’ needs, whilst being aware of costs.
  • Undertaking stock checks.
  • Liaising with suppliers.
  • Processing orders.
  • Arranging couriers to fulfil orders.
  • Ensuring that CRM is updated as and when required.
  • Assist with scheduling and reporting.
  • Ensure proper flow of office procedures and support Directors, Sales staff, and engineering staff.

 

What does it take to get the role?

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
  • High competence with Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Excel, and Word but also a willingness to learn new software (internal sales & ticketing systems). Experience with Service Desk ticketing preferable, but not essential.
  • Arithmetic accuracy and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Must be willing to invest into growing their role and the company itself.
